February Mosaic at The Maker's Space

It was a big week for art.  We built a wall of cinderblocks for our Lenten series of communal fasts.  The wall represents the chaos of our lives with Christ in the midst of it and the pansies [derived from the French word 'pensees' or thoughts] represent our participation in various fasts offered during Lent. At the Maker's Space, we explored the art of Mosaic, using paint chips on black paper. After walking through an imaginary garden in our minds, these are the gardens that emerged...
